Tiger Undefeated???

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Don’t make me laugh!!! This isn’t football…It will be absolutely amazing if Tiger wins the grand slam of golf or if he wins 1/4 of the 2008 PGA tourneys. I would bet that Las Vegas would give odds at 1 million to 1 that Tiger would go undefeated. I don’t want to hear it anymore because it is just NOT Possible so why even talk about it. Woods won’t say anything to reporters when he is asked about the possibility of a perfect season but he is laughing his guts out that the question is even being asked.

Hal Sutton said it best “Anybody who knows golf knows that ain’t going to happen. You can only own this game for a certain period of time. Even if your name is Tiger Woods, you don’t own it forever.” I have about as much chance of winning a PGA tour event as Tiger has of winning them all this season. He is 2 and 0…even the media didn’t start talking about a perfect season with the patriots until they won about 10 games and we all know what happened to them.

Are golf balls going too far??

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Only 12 yards of distance has been added to the average driving distance on the PGA tour since 1968. 12 Yards???? With all the technology of new drivers and golf balls that is not much distance. Golf balls do make a difference but be careful when spending your hard earned money on the latest Pro V that will add 20 yards to your drive. Consumer reports came out with a non biased report on Golf balls and although the Pro V’s did very well so did some much cheaper brands like Maxfli, Dunlop, Pinnacle and cheap Nike distance balls. Because most golfers don’t choose the right ball for their swing speed you should choose a ball that fits your pocketbook. I like the Callaway HT tour 56 even though it is a more expensive ball not because of the distance but because I like to show off with my wedges and spin the ball. Most of my golfing buddies can’t spin the ball but with this ball a new wedge and clean grooves you can be the envy of your group too.
